FOLLOWING THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE REOPENING OF DENTAL CLINICS ON JUNE 1, SEVERAL PEOPLE ARE ASKING HOW IT WILL WORK.
HERE ARE THE NEW AND MANDATORY PROCEDURES FOR YOUR NEXT VISIT, AND ANSWERS TO THE MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS.

The wearing of a mask is compulsory for all patients, as well as companions if it is necessary for the patient to attend their appointment with a companion. A homemade mask or scarf is sufficient (unfortunately we cannot provide one).

We will ask you a few health questions related to COVID-19 when we confirm your appointment, as well as when you arrive at the office.

Upon your arrival, we will ask you to use hydro alcoholic gel to wash your hands, and we will take your temperature with a contactless thermometer.

Brush your teeth before leaving the house since it is not possible to offer you the use of our brushing stations. As well, the washroom is closed in accordance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Health.

A bin to deposit your personal effects will be given to you upon your arrival. Your personal belongings must remain in this bin and you must have this bin with you at all times.

Before we can work in the mouth, we will ask you to rinse with a 1% hydrogen peroxide mouthwash. This mouthwash will be used in the treatment room and will be supplied by our clinic.

Only patients will be admitted to the clinic. We ask that parents and/or caregivers to stay in their vehicles in the parking lot. (For consultation appointments with a young child, one companion will be admitted but will be asked to follow the same rules i.e. wearing a mask or face covering, answer health questions on COVID-19, hand washing, temperature assessment, and compliance of social distancing practices).

Video games are not accessible, newspapers and magazines have been removed from the waiting room, and no food or drink is allowed in our office. The washroom is closed in accordance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Health.

The hygienist and/or orthodontist will inform you, if necessary, by email or telephone of the progress of your child's treatment.

If you or a family member has experienced symptoms or tested positive for COVID-19, please schedule a new appointment.

11. Please do not be intimidated by our new office environment. In accordance with the recommendations and regulations of the Ministry of Health and our professional order, you will see: protective screens in the reception area and in the consultation rooms, new machines throughout the office to purify the air, the use of special machines to reduce the aerosols of certain procedures, and our clothing will be more like hospital attire. Despite wearing our masks at all times, please know that behind each of these masks is a smile.
